Tactical Superiority – Advanced Strategies in Alternative Investment Management

Alternative Investment Strategies

What are alternative investments? These are investments in non-traditional assets such as real estate, venture capital, hedge funds, art, cryptocurrencies, commodities, or private equity, aimed at portfolio diversification and achieving higher returns. They are actively used by high-net-worth and qualified investors who have significant capital, do not require quick access to funds, and are willing to accept higher levels of risk.

What are alternative investment strategies? These are methods for investing in various non-traditional assets, for example, through Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).

Key characteristics of alternative investment strategies include:

  • low liquidity and low correlation – such assets are more difficult and take longer to sell than stocks. They are weakly correlated with stock market dynamics, thereby reducing overall portfolio volatility.
  • valuation complexity – determining the fair value of an asset often requires specialized expertise;
  • management flexibility;
  • limited accessibility due to a high entry threshold
    (as a rule, only for high-net-worth or qualified investors, for example, through hedge funds).
